Hacienda Zorita Tempranillo is made from selected grapes grown on a 72 ha.
Vineyard in the Natural Park of Arribes del Duero, the Unamuno Vineyard in D.O
Arribes del Duero. Here, we work with the latest viticulture techniques
including the Smart-Dyson vine training method, allowing for better and more
complete ripening of the grapes. We grow international varieties (Syrah, Malbec,
Cabarnet Sauvignon and Merlot) as well as Spain's Indigenous Tempranillo.
The Arribes del Duero Natural Reserve is the furthest point one could possibly
go along the Duero riverbanks in Spain. Before Hacienda Zorita arrives, only a
few cooperatives were making wine here from the local Juan García grapes,
gathered by small plot farmers. Without blowing our own trumpet, in a way we
started a revolution. We set up shop here and the D.O arrived a few months
later.
