OrchardWorld wanted to share with you some of the lesser known varieties of Pear
which all have their own unique flavours to tantalise your taste buds within our
‘OrchardWorld Pears’ range. Carefully selecting only the very best varieties
along with some ‘Best of British’ we can supply you something all year round to
suit all palettes.
The characteristics of each exclusive variety are sensational. From the alluring
Williams Pear with its chameleon Green to Yellow skin, the sweet aromas of
Concorde, to the velvety consistency and rich honey notes of the Abate Fetel.
Then there’s Rocha which has a sweet white/ yellow delectable flesh and finally
Forelle, with its unique, eye catching, bright contrast of the red lenticels
against the intense yellow skin.
Our British Pears are grown by a 4th generation farmer in the infamous East Kent
fruit belt, where both the climate, soil types, and aspect all play a part in
providing the perfect conditions to grow the Concorde Pear.

Concorde- British variety- Available between October to December
Forelle- South African variety- available from April to August
Rocha- Portuguese variety- available from September to June
Williams- Italian and South African varieties- available from September to April
Abate Fetel- Italian variety – available from April to August
