Côtes du Rhône has always been a favourite with the French. So much so that strict rules governing its production had to be put in place in the 16th century to stop people trying to pass off inferior plonk as the real thing. Thankfully those rules are still in place, so you can enjoy a good glass of this fabulously fruity French tipple, safe in the knowledge that it's the real deal.
